Looking forward to continued growth in 2016

Happy New Year to all of our customers, suppliers, and members of our team, we wish you all a prosperous 2016. However, before we are fully immersed in the year ahead, we thought we would bring you some highlights from 2015 – a year where you all played a valuable part in our growth and our success.

We extended our team, broadened our product range, increased our customer base, won awards, and supported some valuable causes, here’s just some of the things we achieved throughout the year.

A growing team…
During the year, we welcomed Jillian Thomas as Wholesale Manager, and Wociech and Callum to our operations team as Vending Operators. All have settled in very well and we will be featuring them in blog posts throughout 2016.

A growing range…
printing cups 3In keeping with Excel tradition, we continue to source the best products; this year we brought on board many new ones like the fantastically popular Galaxy Duet form established suppliers, and we added some new partners such as Dean’s Shortbread, we will continue to bring you the best of the best in 2016

We also introduced our very own cup design; chosen with your assistance on our social media channels, it has proven to be as popular in reality as it was when we first revealed the design online.

We were delighted to be named Winner of “Best Operating Company (Turnover £2m – £5m)” at The Vendies, recognized as the UK’s premier annual vending awards.Vending_Awards_2015_123

A business award closely followed this industry success when we were named Winner of the “Excellence in Communication” at the Glasgow Business Awards, a prestigious event organised by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.

The hat trick was complete when Vendman named us as a Centre of Excellence Partner, something we are particularly proud to achieve from the UK’s leading vending software company. This title has been awarded to just 12 vending companies in the UK and recognises our ability to provide quality vending services in the most efficient way possible.Award

A growing community…
We are proud of our customers, suppliers and partners and we will continue to work closely with them in 2016. In addition, we grew our social media community during 2015 and we will keep engaging with them in 2016. The online community provides valuable feedback and market research that allows us to bring the right products for our customers; in 2016, we look forward to continuing our growing relationship with them.

A growing responsibility…Elaine Armitage Reach Lanarkshire Autism hamper
We have always accepted our social responsibility, something we were very pleased to extend in 2015, and we will continue to develop in 2016.

Most recently, Santa and his elves came to visit and built us a Christmas tree using goods donated by Nestle, Cadbury, Mars, Kenco, Douwe Egberts, Walkers, Barr soft drinks, PG Tips, Coca Cola, Mondelez and Lucozade.IMG_5100

Thanks to nominations from hundreds of you we donated some very welcome food and drink to Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation, Team Jak, The Haven, REACH Lanarkshire Autism SCIO, Blameless Charity and Back to School Bank East Kilbride in time for Christmas celebrations.ipad

However, our Corporate Social Responsibility is not just for Christmas; we have supported the Point Foundation, in particular, the “Support a Student Programme”. We will bring you more news about this in the coming months. In addition, we will be announcing even more support for charity in the near future, so watch this space!

A growing share…
Finally, we increased our market share in 2015; this is in no small way due to our excellent team and their commitment to our customers. We welcome all of our new customers from 2015 to the Excel fold, and we wish all of our customers a very happy and prosperous year ahead – we hope all of your businesses continue to grow in 2016.
