We are about to celebrate another anniversary of becoming a Living Wage Employer, something we are happy and proud to support. 

There are now over 3000 Living Wage Employers in Scotland and over 12,000 in the UK, and the number grows daily. The Living Wage Foundation has also launched a Living Wage Champions Award for 2023 to encourage companies like Excel Vending to become champions of the Living Wage movement. We don’t really need much encouragement; it’s something we believe all responsible employers should be striving to achieve. 

We are very proud to have been accredited as a Living Wage company since February 2019. Back then, the National Living Wage was £7.83 per hour, and the Real Living Wage was £9.00 per hour. Now, the Real Living Wage is £10.90 per hour. As a long-established, independent vending solutions provider, we can do it, and we believe other vending companies, not yet registered, should consider accreditation too.

The Real Living Wage was independently calculated and is currently set at £10.90 per hour which has been determined as the new minimum amount that people need to get by.
