Delighted to be on another awards shortlist

We were delighted to find out yesterday that we have been shortlisted for an award at the Glasgow Business Awards 2016.  As a previous winner at these awards, we know just how important and prestigious they are, and what they mean to the team at Excel Vending.

Run by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, the current Scottish Chamber of the Year, the awards are keenly contested by the best businesses in the Glasgow area, so we are delighted to have got this far once again.

We are committed to excellent communication…

We have been shortlisted in for the ‘Excellence in Communication‘ award sponsored by Connect.  It is particularly satisfying to be selected as a finalist in this category because of our commitment to communication.  We truly believe it should be at the heart of every business, and that excellent communication is an important key to success.  We strive to be as transparent as we possibly can be and our communication policy starts with how we communicate internally with our own personnel, making sure they feel part of a growing and successful team.  We also invest in communication with our customers; it is important that they know what we are doing and the emerging technology that will make their vending solutions the best they possibly can be.

On an operational front, we use the very latest real-time sales reporting to communicate sales performance in the machines.  This enables our customers to make informed decisions about the products they stock in the machines.  We also invested in real-time vehicle tracking enabling us to keep customers completely informed about deliveries and service calls.

Perhaps the most visible form of communication is evident on our website and social media channels. This is where we engage with the end-users of our machines about ongoing promotions, product news and competitions.  This end-user engagement is valuable to them, however it is also very important to Excel Vending; by engaging with them on a daily basis, we can ensure we know what products they want and all the current trends.

Our communication has genuine influence…

The most important element of this communication has been our ability to influence the selection of healthier eating choices in the vending machines we operate. Working with organisations like NHS Health Scotland and the healthyliving award, we are able to advise both manufacturers and machine operators about suitable healthy product options.

We fully believe in the power of excellent communication, so we are delighted to be named as a finalist in this category and we’re looking forward to the event ceremony which will take place at the Hilton Glasgow on 6th October.  We look forward to the night, and we congratulate our fellow finalists for reaching this stage and we wish each of them the very best on the night.
