As regular readers of our blog will know we do some work with the Point Foundation whose charitable work helps to make a difference in Africa.
The foundation is both voluntary and non-profit and it’s work focusses on health welfare and education in South Africa and Rwanda.
Through them we sponsor a young man named Andrew at the Noel Orphanage in Rwanda. Our support sponsors him through their Support a Student program and enables him to access a first class education.
We are very grateful that we are in a fortunate position that allows us to sponsor him, and that we can help him to empower himself.
We recently caught up with the chief executive, Sharon Gallagher and we were delighted to hear news of Andrew’s progress.
Sharon was able to tell us that Andrew is doing well at school. She met with him in the Rwandan capital of Kigali where he studies. He sadly had his keyboard stolen in June, but as you can see this was replaced and he’s very happy with this.
